About these numbers

  • Sources: Northwest Florida Water Management District (14,648 records). Records were fetched October 25, 2026.
  • What’s counted: wells with a reported depth whose use is household, irrigation, public supply or agricultural. Monitoring wells, injection wells, plugged wells and permits that were never drilled are left out. Methodology.
  • Dates: the source layer for this area publishes no construction or permit date, so we can’t say how recent these wells are.
  • Approximate locations: 2,896 of 14,648 records (20%) share their exact map point with at least four other records, so they’re probably placed at a section, subdivision or parcel-group center rather than at the well. That matters for “nearest well” distances, less for area figures like these.
  • Not a guarantee: a record shows how deep one well was permitted or built. It doesn’t predict yield, water quality or what your well will need.
